Information on Irvine Lake
Irvine Lake is best known as a trophy trout fishery, but
it is quietly a solid largemouth bass lake in the heart

A quiet, scenic fishing lake nestled at the base of the
Cleveland National Forest. Santiago Creek feeds the 750
acre lake that features steep rocky cliffs, shallow coves,
deep creek channels, submerged high spots, ovehanging trees
and provides excellent fishing and family park enviroment.
A Fishing License is not required.
Bass are caught all along shore line cover of the lake
and a wide variety of techniques, lures and plastics are
used by bass anglers who frequent the lake regularly. The
lake record stands at 14 pounds, 7 ounces and this catch
was made back in the 1950's. The currentstrain of bass found
in Irvine Lake is a cross between Northern and Florida bass.
